So these past couple weeks I've been type some things up for a professor at work and catalogue a bunch of physics articles on this computer program. It's an easy job, it is just a bit tedious at times because your just typing things for hours upon hours. I use to just listen to music while i did it, just ot have some background noise, but at Institute the other week, the lady who taught challeneged us to reread all the conference talks from Aprils conference. While i still plan on reading them, i figured how good would it be to listen to them while i did my work? So for the past 2 weeks or so while i type, i've been putting on a conference talk to listen to. Obviously, since i'm doing other stuff, i can't give them the attention that is needed or take notes or anything, but i've been amazed at how much I have been getting out of them. Every once in a while i'll be typing away and all of the sudden a sentence will stand out to me from the conference talk. It's usually exactly what i need to hear that day, or i'll just have a sudden thought of something i need to do or read. So whenever that happens, i have a little sticky note nearby and i'll hurry and write down a little note and then go back to my typing. I've been comparing the little notes that i've been writing down lately to my notes that i took during conference and it's incredible how different they are. And how they seem to apply to any aspect of life that you may be in. Depending on the question your pondering at the time, different things stand out. I'm grateful for that.

Hooray for being uplifted at work! I used to listen to conference talks occasionally while I was doing my data entry last fall, and it was nice. Good luck with all your transcribing and physics department work.

You're a better person than I. I still just listen to music... but maybe the Rudy Soundtrack counts as spiritually uplifting?
