You never think it'll happen to you.

Tragedy struck my life today. In the wee hours of the morning, i awoke to get some studying done before i left for work. As i was hopping out of bed, i noticed a strange taste in my mouth...morning breathe. No fear, it can be easily dealt with, all i needed was some toothpaste and my trusty electric toothbrush. I stumbled into the bathroom, still a little groggy from waking up and reached into the cabinet above the toilet to grab my toothbrush. It's still sort of fuzzy to me of how this happened but next thing I know, i see my toothbrush making it's way closer and closer to the toilet water below (this all happened in slow motion in my mind of course). I tried to save it and all i got was a handful of air, and then PLUNK! it hit. I wanted to crumple to the floor and cry. But i put on a brave face, fished it out of the toilet and sadly dumped it into the trashcan. I don't care how much i treasure that toothbrush of mine, i was not sticking that back in my mouth. So here is my dilemma now, Do i buy a new electric toothbrush or go back old school style?? BY the way it's not the nice electric toothbrush, it's the type you can buy at the grocery store that runs on batteries for like $13. We get them every year for Christmas so do i wait 6 months and make do with the cheap $3 ones and spend the extra 5 minutes brushing my teeth to perfection or splurge now and buy me another miracle maker toothbrush?

Things we all learned from this experience?

1. Never keep your toothbrush above the toilet
2. Never share an apartment with people who don't close the toilet seat lid
3. Develope greater early morning reflexes

Haha so sad. I don't think I've ever had that happen to me before. I'll shut the toilet lid.
