The last month or so...

It's been awhile since I've blogged about my recent adventures in Japan. I blame it mostly on the fact that our computer has been broken, my camera has been out of batteries, and a little bit on the fact that I've been downright lazy. But...Eric, being the stud that he is, fixed the computer and I replaced my camera batteries and I'm fighting through the laziness to get this post out to all my faithful readers, and by all my faithful readers I really just mean you Mom!

A few weeks ago I went to Nikko for the weekend with some friends. It was an amazingly awesome trip. Nikko is an old Japanese city that's situated up in the mountains (which are more like hills). It's known for it's gorgeous scenery and all the cool old temples and shrines that were built years and years ago. Nikko was definitely a memorable experience, I would love to go back sometime and see the rest of it!

The next cool place I went was Kamakura. Kamakura is most well known for the Big Buddha, and besides that it just houses a lot more temples and shrines and some good fun shopping. My camera died halfway through on this trip, so i only have pictures from the first half of the day. :(

For my birthday Heather and Shari took me up to Tokyo for the day. We shopped at my favorite store and I spent way to much money and we ate delicious crepes and other great food, and all around just had a really good time. Thanks for making my 23rd birthday a memorable one guys!

The last really cool place I've been in the past few weeks is....TOKYO DISNEY!! I've always wanted to go to DisneyLand or DisneyWorld. My family went when my Mom was pregnant with me and so I always felt like I miss ed out on the experience, even though i'm told i was "technically" there when they went. Heather and Eric made all my dreams come true though, and I'm now a believer that DisneyWorld really is the happiest place on earth. It was the best. I don't really have any pictures from that, I'm sure Heather will post on their blog about it though so you can check it out there.
