The Answer to Life

I made a fantastical rediscovery today. I rediscovered...
THE LITERARY BOOK OF ANSWERS!!(I found it in a box in my closet!)
It's a rather thick book full of quotes from various literary sources. The instructions, as said on the back of the book, are as follows:
1.Hold the CLOSED book in your hand, on you lap, or on a table.
2. Take 10 or 15 seconds to concentrate on a yes or no question.
3. While visualizing or speaking your question, place one hand palm down on the book's front cover and stroke the pages from back to front.
4. When you sense the time is right, open the book and there will be your answer.

So, as i'm sitting here, alone, on a Friday night...(don't judge), I decided to whip it out again and get some answers to many of life's questions i've been pondering. Here are some of the results. (These are all the true answers that i got!!)

Question: Will I be stuck living in Utah the rest of my life??
Answer: To turn and fly is now too late

Question: Should i stop being a loser and go be social??
Answer: Your not up to it, stay where you are

Question:
Will I get married??
Answer: That is unlikely

Question:
Will I travel a lot someday
Answer: Don't even dispute it

Question:
Should i be studying right now??
Answer: Hold out and fortify

So basically i found out tonight that i'll be lonely forever, but at least i'll travel a lot. I'll probably be traveling a lot because i'll be stuck living in Utah for some reason. And..i'm suppose to stay home tonight and NOT do homework. I think i'm okay with that.

So ask me questions people and i will summon the almighty powers of the Literary Book of Answers and let you know what your future holds!

My kind of Valentine

So turns out, Valentines day wasn't a complete bust. There's at least one man in this world who cares enough about me to send me a little something special. Here's the e-mail and the attached picture

Brooke -
Since you don't have a sweetheart to celebrate Valentines with, I know that you must be a little sad. I thought that I would brighten your day with a picture to bring back old times when you used to find so much joy in rubbing my feet.

Thinking of you..... Love, Dad

Here's some quick clarifications:
1. I NEVER rubbed my dad's feet. I hate feet. And no offense dad but your feet are gross, so gross that i don't even like touching your socks!!
2. He just had foot surgery, thus the purple toes!
3. I laughed so hard when i opened this e-mail. it was by far the best Valentine ever!
Love you dad!

If I had another chance....

My Masterpieces of World Literature class is, to put it simple, rather boring. I love the pieces of literature that my professor has chosen for us to read. But instead of letting us discuss our ideas adn theories about what we think the author is trying to convey or how it fits into the political and social aspects of society (of the given country) at the time, He just stands up there and talks....and talks and talks and talks. And it's not even interesting, he uses all these big words to make himself sound smart and so it's really hard to follow along. If we had tests in the class, i'd probably attempt to take notes and decipher it later but we don't, so while he talks, i think.

Today, my thoughts turned to my major. For those of you who don't know, it's Clinical Laboratory Science, which in turns just translates into working in a hospital lab testing blood and urine samples and such. Exciting i know. Now don't get me wrong, i think my major is really interesting. I love learning about how the human body works and how intricate a design it is. I love the fact that with this major I can go to grad school for Forensic Science. How cool is that? However, as interesting as I find all this, if i could go back and start college all over again I wouldn't choose this major. I would do a Math Education major. I've thought this over a lot and being a math teacher is something i would love to do. I love math, it's the one thing in school that always made sense to me. It's so straightforward and it's like a puzzle and i love puzzles. And I think i'd really love to teach. I don't know how great at it i'd be, but i think it'd be a fulfilling job. Maybe in my next life.

Catch up....

This is just a catch up of the past couple weeks of things I've done but forgotten to blog about. Therefore you'll only get a brief description....sorry.

First off, a couple weekends ago, we had roommate bonding night and made a fort in our living room. FORT FORT FORT FORT! It actually turned out pretty good. We then watched the movie Clue and ate lots of food that's really bad for you in our fort.

Next....Caitlin got FRONT ROW tickets to a BYU basketball game. It was awesome. We got free t-shirts (the one i'm wearing in the photo) and I forgot how much i love going to basketball games. Caitlin, your the best!

Same day as the basketball game, just later that night...Charlotte and I had Charlotte-Brooke bonding night where we made cupcake cones, ate pizza and watched Signs. In the movie Signs they make foil hats so that the aliens can't read their thoughts, we too made them. Now, in case of alien invasion, i have my own foil hat so that the aliens can't read my mind.

And then tonight, we went and saw Amber's friend Rand fight. I don't remember what sort of a fighter he is, but it's like ultimate fighting and it was awesome. He knocked his opponent out in under 3 minutes. I was enthralled.

And that is all for now.

WANTED

While i don't appreciate Lance's sense of humor always, i do appreciate his creative side. So much so that I'm posting this despite it being public humiliation on my part! Lance, you may be creative but your still a muttface.
